Medical

For the protection of your pet, Reigning Cats and Dogs requires proof of vaccinations.  Pet owners may fax vaccination certificates well before the day of entry or give us your veterinarian's name and we will call to confirm vaccinations.  Puppies or previously unvaccinated dogs must have completed all vaccinations at least ten days prior to entry. It takes that long for the vaccinations to become fully effective.

bullet Bordetella- required every 6 months. Injectable must be given at least 10 days prior to boarding, nose drops at least 3 days prior.

For dogs the following must be given annually, and at least 10 days prior to boarding:

              bulletRabies

              bullet Distemper

        bullet Corona virus

        bullet Hepatitis

        bullet Leptospirosis

        bullet Para-influenza

        bullet Parvovirus

If your pet is of advanced age, your vet may elect to vaccinate less often. We will discuss this with your vet.

For cats, rabies and distemper vaccinations are required at least 10 days prior to entry. Monitor your cat’s health immediately prior to boarding. Cats with sneezing or discharging eyes cannot be boarded due to the risk of infection.

During boarding, if a health problem occurs, we first try to contact your veterinarian. If we are unable to reach him/her we will contact our own vet. We contact you immediately as well.

We administer prescribed medications at your request. There is an additional charge to administer multiple medications or to administer regimens that are unusually complex.

Pets that have serious medical conditions that will likely require veterinarian care are best boarded with your vet.

There is an additional charge to administer multiple medications, perform ear washes and treatments, and similar procedures.
